Thierry Cammaert began his musical studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Mons and continued  at the Koninklijk Muziekconservatorium in Brussels with Paul Dombrecht. He teaches oboe at the Royal Conservatory of  Mons, Music Academies of Ixelles, Uccle, Nivelles and Watermael-Boitsfort and the methodology of the oboe at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and I.M.E.P(Musical and Pedagogical Institute in Namur ). He plays regularly in early music ensembles, symphonic orchestras and as a chamber music player (Royal Chamber orchestra of  Wallonia, Liège  Royal Philarmonic Orchestra,  ”Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles” The Barok Orchestra “Muffatti”.) He gives regularly concerts in  Belgium and abroad France, Spain, Finland , Estonia , Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine , China, South Korea, USA, Canada, Africa(Togo-Benin-Kenya-Tanzania-Tunisia).
